Advanced Test Equipment Rentals (ATEC) today announced an agreement with EMSCAN to become the exclusive rental partner of EMSCAN products, bringing greater product availability to customers with immediate needs for EMC and RF troubleshooting and design. ATEC now carries the EMxpert ERX+ high-resolution EMC/EMI scanner with built-in spectrum analyzer; more EMSCAN equipment will be added to meet the market’s demand.
EMSCAN is a developer of fast EMC and RF test instruments based on patented very near magnetic field measurements. ATEC is a rental provider of test equipment for EMC, communications, aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, consumer electronics, and other sectors.
EMSCAN provides real-time low-cost “desktop chambers” that eliminate the need for anechoic chambers for precompliance and performance tests. EMSCAN offers a full line of state-of-the-art EMxpert products for EMC/EMI testing and RFxpert products for antenna and wireless device testing. The EMxpert ERX+ enables PCB and design engineers to diagnose EMC/EMI problems between 150 kHz and 8 GHz and provides eight levels of resolution between 60 microns and 7.5 mm. After locating the unintended radiators in seconds, engineers can select the resolution level based on the density of their board design and see the results in minutes (a 1-inch by 1-inch board can be scanned in 24 minutes).
