Adapter Allows SOICs To Replace DIPs

Members of the Correct-A-Chip family called Series 350000-HT adapters allow users to upgrade from a conventional DIP socket to either an SOIC or SOJ without pc board rework or redesign. The lead-free adapters come on 0.300”, 0.400” and 0.600” centers and have 14, 16, 18, 20 or 24 pins. Operating temperature is up to 210_C. The adapter’s pc board is fabricated of 0.62” polyimid rated at 260°C and has copper traces on both sides. The pins are made of a brass alloy with tin-nickel plating. The DIP-to-SOIC adapters are supplied as individual units or in panelized form for automated pick-and-place mounting on boards. Pricing starts at $6.50 per unit.
