Providing a shielded, dual-row, cable-to-board interface for high-speed performance and 100? controlled impedance, the TDP (Triad Differential Pair) connectors’s innovative triad contact configuration of differential signal and ground lines allows the connectors to achieve bandwidths of up to 5.0 Gb/s and beyond. And their special contact design results in a shallow mating angle to reduce insertion force. Further, the recessed contacts protect signal lines from ESD, support mating alignment, and provide added contact protection during handling. The TDP connectors are available with 18, 28, 38, 48 and 72 circuits, have a low, 7.00-mm profile, and are suitable for use in LVDS servers, routers, storage equipment, automotive displays, and other applications. Price of an 18-circuit, right-angle, board-mount receptacle is $3.84 each/1,000. For more details, contact Ray Froude at MOLEX INC., Lisle, IL. (630) 527-4410.
