Electronic Design takes a look inside the Xi3’s Modular Computer.
1. Xi3’s Modular Computer houses a single or dual core, 64-bit AMD 3400e processor using only 20W of power.
2. The Modular Computer supports Gigabit Ethernet, USB, eSATA, DisplayPort and DVI displays.
3. The system consists of a motherboard the processor and a large heatsink plus two daughterboards with peripheral interfaces.
4. Need more servers? Roll in Xi3’s mobile enterprise system.
5. Multiple server-modules fit into a drawer. They are linked together via Ethernet.
