Development Platform Readies CompactPCI Applications

The CxP0816 is an 8U, 19" CompactPCI development platform for the telecommunication and automation markets. The unit, which is fully rear I/O-capable, offers a choice of four passive backplanes, five power supplies, a hot-swappable fan tray and the firm’s single-board computers.The selection of backplances includes standard eight- and 16-slot types supporting Level 2 full hot-swap functionality. There also are telephony (PICMG 2.5-compliant) eight- and 16-slot backplanes integrating the H.110 bus and offering support for Level 3 high-availability hot-swap functionality. Power supply options include a low-cost, 300W ATX and 350W ac or dc unit in single or redundant configurations. The platform also offers reliable, bottom-to-top forced air cooling. It supports all of the firm’s 6U SBCs and drives up to 15 processor boards.
