Growing support for the Diamond DSP real-time operating system has increased by virtue of 3L Ltd.'s partnering with White Mountain DSP. Now, the Diamond RTOS has support from White Mountain's Mountain-ICE and Summit-ICE JTAG emulators for COTS and custom SHARC DSP-based hardware. The Mountain-ICE emulator is specifically designed to support emulation of multiple ADI SHARC DSPs. In the past, the SHARC version of Diamond required a board-support package from 3L Ltd. for each target platform it supported. Now, Diamond supports custom SHARC-based hardware, providing users with the tools necessary to design and debug applications and meet time-to-market windows. The JTAG board support package allows the multi-tasking, multi-threaded RTOS to work with any SHARC-based multi-processor hardware, including in-house or custom designs, using the Mountain-ICE or Summit-ICE emulators.
