In addition to being used in EMI shielding applications, the Gore-Shield SMT EMI gaskets can also be employed as RF grounding pads or interconnects. Used in these applications, the gaskets conduct currents of a primary RF signal in the same manner in which a connector conducts RF current from a pc board to coaxial cable. The gaskets can be placed virtually anywhere there is a need for an electrical contact point. They are available in standard tape-and-reel packaging and are compatible with SMT pick-and-place machinery.
