The company's power factor correction (PFC) evaluation board provides a nearly complete PFC front end with all necessary control and power circuitry plus the necessary inductor. The only missing component is an external power-line EMI filter when required. Operational out of the box, the board accepts input voltages from 85 to 265 VRMS and delivers a near-unity power factor at an efficiency in excess of 95%. Power handling capability is up to 3 kW. Integrated on the board is the 7720 series PFC module, which includes an input bridge rectifier, FET, diode, and an over-temperature detector. Typical pricing for a single unit is $199.00 with delivery from stock to three weeks. BI TECHNOLOGIES, Fullerton, CA. (714) 447-2757.
