Targeting computer products requiring EMI/RFI filtering, a new series of D-subminiature stamped-and-formed filter connectors incorporate the companyÕs planar filter technology, which allows the filter to be embedded inside the connector body. This approach eliminates the need for external capacitors on the board. The series comes in the standard 0.318", right-angle footprint with ground straps, pc board locking clips, and hex locking screws. Usable as direct replacements for unfiltered D-subs, other features include stamped and formed copper-alloy contacts with 30-µ/in. gold plating on the mating side and tin plating on the tails, filter ranges of 180, 370 and 1,300 pF (±20%), a typical insertion loss of 25 dB at 100 MHz, and a dielectric withstand voltage of 300 Vdc.
