In a surface-mount package offering both top and side-view mounting options, the OVSRRGBCC3 full-color (RGB) LED provides a 150° viewing angle. The component consists of three separate diodes in a 3.2 mm x 1 mm x 1.5 mm, 1204 package size that is compatible with both automatic pick and place equipment as well as infrared and vapor phase solder reflow processes. Target applications include automotive dashboard and switch backlighting, telephones and faxes, and flat backlighting for LCDs, switches, and symbols. Under a white diffused lens, the red LED features AllnGaP material with a typical intensity of 125 mcd while the green and blue LEDs employ InGaN material and deliver typical intensities of 300 mcd and 75 mcd, respectively. The red LED has continuous forward current of 30 mA with a power dissipation of 78 mW. Continuous forward current for the green and blue LEDs is 20 mA with a power dissipation of 84 mW.
