Able to meet the requirements of entertainment and information processing in embedded transportation systems such as automobiles, the F8 single board employs an 800-MHz Crusoe TM5900 processor with an integrated Northbridge, and consumes only 5W of power. The processor is code compatible with Intel Pentium processors, making it capable of running any PC software applications. A 235-MHz graphics controller has 24-bit RAMDAC memory to support graphics resolutions up to 1,600 x 1,200 pixels. It can control two independent digital screens with different or identical images. The 3U Eurocard SBC also features DDR RAM memory of up to 1 GB, a CompactFlash slot for scalable program memory, a USB port, serial port, and two Fast Ethernet interfaces with either RJ45 or D-sub connectors.
