The CAS series slide switch is designed to simplify PCB layout and manufacture by allowing designers to replace conventional jumper pin and wire arrangements with a compact surface mount switch. The switch measures 5.4 mm L x 2.5 mm W x 2.5 mm H for the SPDT configuration. Other configurations such as DPDT and dual SPDT are available. The slide switch is compatible with most automatic pick-and-place machinery. It comes in a washable format with a tape seal or in a non-washable format without a tape seal and can withstand a maximum reflow temperature of 250°C. Operating temperature range is –40°C to +85°C. Twin gold-plated contacts provide excellent contact stability and a contact resistance of less than 50Ω, with a choice of gull-wing or J-hook terminations. All parts in this slide switch range are RoHS compliant. Delivery is from stock to six weeks. Pricing starts at $0.61 each/1,000. COPAL ELECTRONICS INC., Torrance, CA. (310) 618-0225
