Specifically engineered for unsupervised public access kiosk applications, the IE700 stainless steel keyboards are targeted at the OEM, point-of-sale and information technology markets. Claimed to be rapid, reliable, responsive and vandal resistant, the keyboards meet NEMA-4, -4X and -12 specifications. Accordingly, they protect against corrosion, dust, and splashing and hose-directed water. In addition, keyboard operation is said to be impervious to the formation of ice on the enclosure. The 66-position keyboards also feature a stainless steel fascia and keytops. The full-size, fireproof metal keys cannot be dislodged from the front or defaced by removing key covers. They are marked with laser engraved legends for readability and long life. Measuring just 13" x 5" x .75", the small-footprint keyboards are easily mounted into an enclosure or panel and are provided with 5-pin DIN or PS/2 connection output cables. Pricing for the IE700 is $120 each. INSTRUMENTS & EQUIPMENT CO., Sparta, NJ. (800) 432-1255.
