The G6K-RF-S series of DPDT (2 form C) gull-wing SMD RF relays are just 10.7 mm long and 8.6 mm wide including terminals. The relays’ length is 17% less than that of previous versions. Despite their compact size, they handle a discrete load of 1 A at 30 V dc and a high-frequency load of 1 W at 1 GHz with a VSWR less than or equal to 1.2. Relays are available in coil voltages of 3, 4.5, 5, 12, and 24 V dc and are available with non-latching or single-coil latching options. Consuming just 100 mW when operated, the relays tolerate ambient temperatures from -40ºC to +70ºC. Operate and release time is 3 ms maximum with an electrical life expectancy of at least 100,000 operations. Typical applications for the G6K-RF-S include measurement and test equipment (ATE), high-speed LAN equipment, cable modems, set top boxes, satellite receivers, and wireless base stations. Pricing for the G6K-RF-S is about $10 each in 10,000 piece quantities. Delivery is stock to eight weeks. Engineering samples and a complete set of technical data are available.
