A single-slot, programmable frame grabber for the PCI bus, M-Vision 1008 captures images from standard and non-standard cameras in 8 bits at rates up to 40 MSPS. The board has 8-bit LUTs that modify the data copied from the on-board memory. The LUTs can operate on different sections of memory and can be dynamically switched. The digitized video is stored in the on-board VRAM. An entire frame can be stored and transferred to system memory with only one interrupt generated. The 1-MB board memory can be expanded to up to 4 MB. The system can read 2D bar codes and license plates at toll booths.
