Two additions to the company's Quad-Mode LED driver line promise 10% greater efficiency and up to 65% smaller packages when compared to tri-mode charge pumps. First up, the 3-channel CAT3643 claims to be the market's smallest charge pump, measuring 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm x 0.4 mm in a XQFN package, and the highest efficiency, delivering a 10% higher efficiency than tri-mode devices. The CAT3644 is a 4-channel device. Both deliver efficiencies up to 92%. Additionally, both feature 1-wire EZDim LED current programming.
