Matrix Connector Makes Solderless Contact

The Zebra matrix connector features silicone rubber pads embedded with gold-plated fine wire conductors oriented vertically at over 5,000 per square inch and at a 0.013" pitch. Its solderless connection, just compression contact, is said to be suitable for BGAs, ICs, LCCs and PCBs at 500 mA current capacity and 250 milliohms of resistance.
