Meeting the demands of the multi-function printer/scanner/copier/fax industry, the WM8216 analog front end digitizer is designed for use on a one-per-CCD sensor basis. This two-channel, pipline a/d converter provides a 60 Msample/s conversion rate, 10-bit resolution, and correlated double sampling. Power consumption is 330 mW typical. The device integrates all of the signal conditioning and a/d conversion requirements of the interface between image sensor and the digital architecture of a photocopier system onto a single mixed signal device. Other features include a 9-bit, programmable gain amplifier and a 4-bit d/a converter. Available in a 32-pin QFN package operating from a 3.3V supply, price is $3.73 each 10,000.
