The new mPD98502 is a network controller for applications such as residential and small business gateways, MTU (Multi-Tenant Unit) aggregators and xDSL modems and routers. The device is a result of the integration of PCI bridge functionality with the company's existing mPD98501 processor. Features include a MIPS VR 4120A CPU, two ports of 10/100 Ethernet, a 50 Mbps ATM interface, and a USB slave interface. The PCI bridge is compliant with PCI Rev. 2.2 and operates at 32 bits/33 MHz.
