Designed for demanding scanning applications, the KLI-8023 8,000-pixel, tri-linear CCD image sensor has a 15-bit dynamic range. The device features 9 mm2 pixels arranged in three rows of red, green and blue photoelements, and independent electronic exposure control for each color row can be used to balance system color. The devices uses a new material for the color filter, said to boost responsivity by over 2.5x in the blue region of the visible spectrum while photo response non-uniformity is 3% across the 72-mm sensor length.
