Designed for use in base stations, the FTS310 oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) will find employment in the WiMAX, HIPERMAN, and WiBro markets in the US, Europe, and Korea, respectively. The component meets the IEEE 802.16-2004 specification dictating that the OCXO must have a frequency stability better than 8 ppm for 10 years. It specifies a phase noise of -125 dBc/Hz at an offset of 100 Hz and -145 dBc/Hz at an offset of 10 kHz. Operating temperature is -40°C to +65°C, with an optional -40°C to +85°C range for use in outdoor units. Other specs include a frequency range from 2.43 MHz to 60 MHz, a two-minute warm up time to within ±4.6 ppm with less than 1.5W of power, supply voltage of 3.3V ±0.16 V, an operating power of 1W at 0°C and 0.6W at 25°C, and an output load of 15 pF. Measuring 20.8 mm x 13.2 mm x 11 mm, price is $17 each/5,000. FOX ELECTRONICS, Fort Myers, FL. (888) 438-2369.
