Precise position control is the forte of the HS35 12-bit absolute hollow encoder. This version of the encoder incorporates many of the same features as the company's popular HS35 incremental design, including embracing through and blind-shaft versions, accommodating a variety of shaft bores (up to 1" in diameter), and offering two tether options. The rugged, sealed encoder carries an IP65 environmental rating and operates from 0°C to 70°C with extended operation to 85°C available, too. The hollow shaft encoders suit installations with limited axial space on the shaft; they have an overall installed length of 2". BEI TECHNOLOGIES INC., Goleta, CA. (800) 350-2727.
