A line of PulseJack surface-mount modular jacks with integrated magnetics is designed for high-speed Ethernet data applications. Single-port RJ-45 style jacks are available with a locking tab, either up (the J13 series) or down (the JV series). To accommodate the various chip sets commonly found in 10/100BaseTX network interface cards (NICs), various internal magnetic filter designs are offered. The required transformers, chokes, capacitors, and termination resistors are installed within the modular connector. Internal magnetics deliver a minimum of 1500 VRMS hipot isolation. Designed to withstand infrared (IR) reflow soldering, the connectors are compatible with pick-and-place manufacturing. PulseJack connectors meet or exceed IEEE-802.3 and ANSI X3.263 standards. They're offered with several LED options. Shields are available with or without EMI tabs. Pulsejack SMT connectors are available in trays or tape-and-reel packaging. They cost $2.50 each in 10,000-unit quantities.
