The Kit Close-up is a video show about evaluation boards, development kits, and other devices and tools for the electronic design engineering community. Each 5~10-minute episode of the show will provide a hands-on unboxing and first impressions of a given product, with information about the devices used.

The Kit Close-up gives you an interesting way to get more information about tools, kits, and boards you may be interested in for use in your own projects. Any questions asked about the products in each show will be answered by our editors or the company that provided the product. We encourage you to participate in the discussions!

Each episode is presented by an editor from either Electronic Design, Microwaves & RF, or Evaluation Engineering, and will feature a hands-on closeup of each item presented. The information about the evaluation tool and the device(s) featured in the episode are provided along with the editor’s first impression and thoughts about the device and its application space.

The kits, boards, and other tools are supplied by participating companies, and any questions about the items shown in any episode will be forwarded to the proper people to be answered in the best manner. After use, the devices featured in the show are donated to local engineering schools, to help the students gain access to the latest evaluation and development tools.

So please check out The Kit Close-up, where in each and every episode we’ll be showing a range of solutions in the context of the evaluation board, development kit, or other related device or tools involved.
