Exploiting a unique planar design based on 512 Mb, single-die components, the company's DDR2-400 and DDR2-533 memory modules are capable of housing 1 GB of memory in a single SO-DIMM. The design allows placement of 16 x 512 Mb single-die components on both sides of the module to achieve a total density of 1 GB, a feat said to be previously possible only with stacked dual-die components. Both modules operate at 1.8V, measure 3.8 mm thick, andpromise to exceed JEDEC requirements. Prices for the DDR2-400 and DDR2-533 are $300 and $400 each, respectively.
