The PC-133 enhanced synchronous DRAM (ESDRAM) dual in-line memory modules (DIMMs) use the standard PC-100 DIMM layout, packaging and production test equipment, but are said to be able to provide the 133-MHz bus speed and lower latency required by today’s faster processor bus speeds. Applications include low-cost PC systems, notebooks, workstations, 3D graphics, communications switches, high-end DSP products, and embedded computers.
