The latest evolution in Linux distribution—Enea Linux 4.0—offers the throughput, responsiveness, and virtualization technologies required for next-generation networking nodes ranging from individual devices up to network function virtualization (NFV) solutions. Enea claims its Linux 4.0 is the most open commercial embedded distribution available on the market. All tools in the suite are open-source development tools, hardened by the company to support all phases of development workflow, from building Linux images to application development (e.g., tracing, profiling, and debugging). Applications for Enea Linux 4.0 include embedded ARM-based equipment, with a focus on high-performance networking.
