Fashioned for the Python, an AMD LX 800-based, EBX-format single-board computer (SBC), the company's Linux quick-start board support package (BSP) forecasts faster system configurations and shorter application-development times. The BSP, based on the Debian Linux operating system (OS), includes an install CD that streamlines hardware setup by eliminating the need for OS configuration and driver installation by the system developer. The package provides support for basic functions including Ethernet, audio, video, USB, and serial ports. Additionally, the Debian Linux OS allows users to explore the full capabilities of the Python SBC while being deployable as the base OS in the target system. The Python features fan-less operation, a power consumption of 5W, and RoHS compliance. VERSALOGIC CORP., Eugene, OR. (541) 485-8575.
