Although ruggedly built to deter would-be vandals and to resist the elements, the Metallic Easy Touch metal keyboard provides frequent users with easy and comfortable actuation. According to the company, conventional metallic keyboards are designed for applications with limited data input. They generally offer a short travel distance of 0.45 mm and a 3N actuation force, while maintaining a tactile feel. By comparison, Easy Touch is said to function more like a standard PC keyboard and to accommodate extensive data-entry activity with a 1.4-mm travel distance and a 1N actuation force.
