Microcontroller Supervisors Feature Embedded EEPROM

Oct. 8, 2008
Expanding the Analog EEPROM AE2 product line are seven microcontroller supervisors that integrate 2 Kb of EEPROM. Supervisor-threshold voltages are available at 4.5V, 4.25V, 4V, 3V, 2.85V, and 2.55V. Memory interfacing is via a 400-kHz I2C bus.

Depending on the device, options include a watchdog timer, dual reset output polarity, watchdog input signal monitor, auxiliary voltage monitor, and push-button manual reset. The watchdog timer function has a 1.6s timeout, and the supervisor-reset period is 200 ms. The CAT102x family is available in eight-lead DIP, SOIC, MSOP, and TSSOP packages, as well as two TDFN packages with a maximum height of 0.8 mm. As an option, each device is available in a halogen-free, lead-free package. Prices start at $0.26 each/10,000. For more details, call David Gillooly at CATALYST SEMICONDUCTOR, Sunnyvale, CA.
