Frontier Silicon unveiled a miniature, highly advanced and integrated, standalone, dual-band DAB/FM radio module for handheld battery-powered products.

London, England:
Frontier Silicon unveiled the Naples FS2011, claiming it as the first miniature, highly advanced and integrated, standalone, dual-band DAB/FM radio module for handheld battery-powered products.

Naples FS2011 is a complete DAB module operating in both master and slave modes. It incorporates the company's Apollo RF front-end, Chorus DAB baseband processor, and NXP Semiconductor's TEA 5764 FM radio IC. The slimline module measures a mere 35 by 38 by 2.7mm on a compact single-sided pc board.

Available now, Naples can already be found in new portable DAB/FM radios from manufacturers Bush and Ministry of Sound.
